here is a clip of a talk by a young lady who survived an attempt on her life and lived to tell the tale (albeit with scars). Makes for an interesting point of view on life. she gets the God centered view better than most of us.

Your message is to fathers, and men. Gods call to married men is to love our wives as the Lord loved the Church, even to give up our lives for her.
And to single men know that a pregnancy is never a mistake; rather it is God personally acting as creator in our live. As single men we have to lean to love. True love is learning to respect and honor, “the child of God” that He has given us the chance to meet, to get to know, and to love.
You are promoting the culture of live. You are God’s Gift!!!
